Son of George Melvin Markle and Mrs. Anna (Dudley) Albro

Mr. Alfred D. Markel, aged 63, of Dorloo, N. Y., passed away at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown on October 19, 1952 after an illness of three months. Born in Dorloo on August 24, 1889 he was the son of the late George Markel and Anna Dudley Albro. Mr. Markel attended the local schools and had been the operator of a garage in Dorloo. In 1910 he was married to the former Nellie Chamberlain who survives. Funeral services was held from the Ottman
Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, on Wednesday at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Percy Pierce, pastor of the Hyndsville Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Dorloo Cemetery. Mr. Markel is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Crosby Albro of Northville, by three sisters; Mrs. William Fears of Schenectady, Mrs. Melvin Van Der Veer of Charleston Four Corners, Mrs. Viola Russell of Pittsfield, Mass; by two brothers Earl of Dorloo, and Melvin Markel of Fall River, Mass."
