Charlie Solitaire, 83, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in Edinburgh, Texas.

Charlie served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Paula R. Solitaire, a son, Aaron Solitaire and by four siblings, Josefina Guzman, Juan, Gilbert, and Pedro Solitaire.

He is survived by his children, Carlos Diane Solitaire, Jr. of Brownsville Judy Leigh Richardson Martinez Solitaire of Victoria and Karla Solitaire of McAllen four siblings, Catherine Crouch of Iowa Teresa William Cuellar, Pedro Antonio Juanita Solitaire, and Tano Solitaire all of Brownsville and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Visitation will begin Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 10a.m., with the recitation of the holy rosary to be held at 7:30p.m., in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser.

Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, February 26, at 3p.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the American Legion Post 43 Honor Guard.
