Jennifer B Rickert, age 70 of Germantown passed away peacefully on October 26, 2017. She was born to the late Herbert and Cletus (Cook) Barton in Dayton, OH. She graduated from Germantown High School, Class of 1965 and retired from GM after 30 years. After she retired, Jennifer enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren, she was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports, and Ohio State Football.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Rickert in 2016, her brother, Jerry Barton, sisters: Jayne Riley, Joan Barton and Janet Vicroy.

She is survived by her son, Daron Eckhardt and daughters, Jill (Johnny) Ashworth and Mindy (Scott) Callahan, also her grandchildren, Austin Eckhardt, Jonathan, Dakota, Jessi and Jenna Ashworth, Presley (Randy) Hearlihy, Kylie, Sydni and Joely Callahan, 5 great grandkids, her brother Jeff Barton and her sister, Joyce Ney, and special family members, Sharon (Jeff) Miller and Connie (Keith) Stafford, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N Main St, Germantown, with Pastor Todd Velte officiating, interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Band of Brothers Fund at Valley View Schools, 59 Peffley St., Germantown, OH 45327, this fund helps cover 'pay to play' fees for athletes.
