Survivors include six sons, John L. Nelligan of Guilderland, William B. Nelligan, of Schenectady, Paul E. Nelligan of Broadalbin, Michael T. Nelligan of Menands, Timothy A. Nelligan of Rochester, and Joseph P. Nelligan of Mariaville; a daughter, Catherine Groves of Gloversville; two brothers, Bernard Neary of Florida and Robert Neary of Dallas; six sisters, Louis Brogan, Rose Marie Bradt, Virginia Koehler, Betty Farley and Madeline Heid, all of Rochester, and Alice Rodell of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, 38 W. Main St., Broadalbin. Cremation will be in Parkview Crematory, Schenectady, and burial will be in Sloansville Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice."
