Mrs. Renee Edwards Tripp, 64, of Erwin, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home. She was born in Harnett County on February 15, 1953 to the late William and Clydia Parker Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jimmy Tripp, and siblings, Eskiell Edwards, Rosalie Byrd, and Charles Edwards.
Mrs. Tripp worked with her mother in the Town & Country Fabric Shop until 1985 when she joined her husband in full time ministry with the Eastern NC Church of God . She also worked with the NC DMV for several years. She was a member of Erwin Church of God.
A funeral service will be held Thursday October 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Erwin Church of God with the Rev. Tim Cowan and Rev. Ken Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mrs. Tripp is survived by her son, Shawn Tripp and wife Teresa of Erwin; daughter, LaBreeska Harris and husband Tim of Plainville, GA; grandchildren, Ashton Smith, Madison Tripp, Chandler Smith, and Makayla Tripp.
Visitation will be Thursday October 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
