Captured by Indians. She was taken to Canada where she was married to the Indian Chief with a record from George Elder stating she was captured for 3 years and gave birth to 2 Indian children. Which could explain why family members were told we were part Indian. No Indian shows in any of our DNA. She was given a bible while captured. The story of her capture is in the "George Elder Descendants" book, as well as in the "History of Bedford County."
