Memorial services for Carol L. Shelton 76 of Fort Dodge will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge with Rev. Gary Bird officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
Carol Lee Shelton was born July 6, 1941 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Ralph and Grace (Wilcox) Dugan. She grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. Carol did various things through out her working career. Her last position was a secretarial position at Iowa Central Community College. She was united in marriage to Theodore Shelton on July 8, 1997. Carol enjoyed doing crafts, especially bead work, making jewelry, putting puzzles together, reading, playing cards and adult coloring. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Dodge.
On October 21, 2017 Carol died at the Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge. She is survived by her husband Ted Shelton of Fort Dodge, three children; Diane (Rick) Crouse of Fort Dodge, Doreen (Joel) Huseby of Isanti, Minnesota and Jason (Terri) Estlund of Fort Dodge, step-son Mark Shelton of Santa Fe, New Mexico, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Patricia Tracy and Julie Prather both of Fort Dodge, step-brother Rick Grima of Colorado, many nieces and nephews and many friends at Deer Creek Apartments.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Susie Lindner.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge.
