Born in Kincardinshire Scotland to parents George Falconer & Margaret Anderson, she married Walter R Robertson in 1877. They immigrated to the US in 1886 with their two sons, William & Walter aboard the ship Anchoria from Glasgow.

"MRS. WALTER ROBERTSON - Mrs. Mary Robertson, 84, former local resident, died yesterday (May 12, 1938) at her home in New Market after a long illness. Mrs. Robertson was a native of Scotland and had lived here 42 years before moving to New Market several years ago. She is survived by her husband Walter and two sons; Walter George Robertson of Plainfield and William Robertson of Arbor. Eleven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren survive."
