Jack A. Skoff, 76, of Harmar Township, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at home. He was born June 9, 1933, in New York, to the late Jacob and Jennie Pohve Skoff and was a lifelong resident. He was a retired inspector for Allegheny County. A member of the ACME Club in Harmar, he enjoyed his gardening and tending to his flower bed. Survivors are three nieces, Teresa (Richard) DeCroo, of Sarver, Jackie (Robert) Rabel, of Lexington, Ky., and Susan DeCroo, of Natrona Heights; two nephews, Art (Susan) Skoff, of West Deer Township, and Michael (Tracy) Skoff, of Cheswick; dear friends, Mark and David Sosovicka, of Springdale, Nancy Evanoff, of Natrona Heights, Dolly Persun, of Leechburg, and Jimmy Fucci, of Cheswick. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Skoff and Sister Jean DeCroo. At the request of Mr. Skoff, funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangement by the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., Springdale/Cheswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orphans of the Storm, P.O. Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201.
