Mrs. Juanita Curl Powell, 77, entered into rest Thursday, October 19, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Powell was born in Swainsboro, GA to the late George and Trudie Perkins Curl. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Solomon's Porch Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Stephen Black officiating.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Powell was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Jones and 2 brothers, Randolph Curl and Wendell Curl.
Family members include 3 sons, Jack Jones of Augusta, Mark Jones (Janet) of Augusta, and David Jones (Joyce) of Grovetown; 2 daughters, Angela Jones Chalker (Rick) of Lincolnton, GA and Patsy Jones Mitchell (Bobby) of Hephzibah, GA; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, and her special friend, Thomas Bales.
A heartfelt thanks to her caretaker and daughter in law, Joyce Jones.
