Survived by nieces: Mrs. Steven Heath, Sacramento, Amy Thompson, Pacific Grove, Calif., Doris Snail, Portland, Ore., Elsie Valine, Santa Cruz, Gladys Keenan,' San Diego. Cousin: Laurette Wessell, Santa Cruz. Native of Santa Cruz, California, aged 98 years. Lifelong resident of the area. Owned his own blacksmith shop on Pacific Ave. during the early 1900's, and was employed by the County of Santa Cruz as a blacksmith for over 25 years. Member of Santa Cruz County Horseman's Association. Services will be conducted at Wessendorf & Holmes Funeral Chapel, 223 Church St., Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Friends may also call Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Entombment in I.O.O.F. Mausoleum. Contributions to Santa Cruz County Horseman's Association, P. O. Box 1014, Santa Cruz preferred.
