Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he blessed our lives with his love and generosity. Robert Head was born at home on October 6, 1923, in Hunt County, Texas. He was born to Bayne and Eula Head, one of three children.
Robert Head joined the military during WWII and served with the 546th Bomb Squadron. Robert made the army his career. During this time he married Mary L. Robertson, adopting her son James, and having a daughter Karen. He became Bell Helicopter's Logistics and Production Manager until December, 1975. While at Bell, Robert met Anita Montgomery, widow of Col. Robert S. Montgomery. Robert Head and Anita later married in 1976 at Fort Hood.
Robert retired in 1975 and spent the next 42 years enjoying life with Anita, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed building computers, tracing family genealogy, helping others, and trips with Anita. He adored his family and was proud of their many accomplishments.
His family would like to thank the Trauma Team at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth for their efforts on behalf of their father.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anita Head; brother, Billy Head; sister, Orene Edison; and son, James W. Head. Survivors include daughter, Karen Aldridge, grandson, William Warsing and wife, Jodie, granddaughters, Kelleigh Head, Kristen Newman, Kathi Head, their mother, Shirley Rice, and four great-grandchildren. Martha Reiswig and husband, Michael, Robert S Montgomery and wife, Caron, granddaughters Leigh S Montgomery, Caroline B Montgomery and Katy M Reiswig.
