Mollie was a 1952 graduate of Hebron High School. She had been employed by 3-M and Glass Floss and was a former member of the First Community Church in Buckeye Lake. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching sports, playing the slot machines and participating in football and other sports pools. Molly was a member of the Buckeye Lake VFW and the Eagles and had been a Fire Belle with the Buckeye Lake Fire Department.
She is survived by her loving children, Leonard P. (Marcia L) Shaffer of Thornville, Charlotte M.(Tom) Erwin of Buckeye Lake, Cindy (Rick) Swartz of Frazeysburg,Teresa Ann Shaffer (John Sanders) of Buckeye Lake, Kenneth Eugene (Kathy) Shaffer of Newark and Hilda Elizabeth (Jon) Thimmes of Buckeye Lake; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren, nieces,nephews and cousins; and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Clyde Cecil and Fern Baker;mother and step- father,Charlotte M. and Kenneth Goodin; husband Leonard P. Shaffer; brother, Richard Baker;sister Barbara Scaife; and gr. grandson, Lucas Templin. She will be missed by a lot of people who knew and loved her.
