Michael "Big'Un" Parrish, 51, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his residence. Michael was known to his family and friends as "Big'Un".
The greatest joys of his life were his grandsons, Mason and Brady, and spending time with them. Michael never met a stranger and loved striking up a conversation with new people. He also enjoyed working on and fixing things such as big trucks and heavy equipment. Michael could operate any type of equipment that was put in front of him.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Scotty McKay. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jerry Konczal, Jerry Melson, Greg Parrish, Jason McMeans, Jeremy Melson, David Byrd, Darrell Bullard, and Chris Neal. Honorary pallbearers include Nicki McRae, Ronald "Run" McLemore, Lloyd Wayne Parrish, David Parrish, Allen Parrish, and John Ross.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cindy Parrish; his mother, Otha Mae Parrish; his daughter, Jessica Parrish Seaton (Chris); his grandsons, Mason Seaton and Brady Seaton; his nieces, Amy McQuitty and Lisa McQuitty; his great niece, KayLeigh McNamee; and a host of close special friends and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Edward Parrish; and his grandparents, Chester and Bosta Parrish and Jessie and Mary Meeks.
