Jack Kilver, 83, of Jacksonville, passed away on Christmas Night at his home with family members present. He lost a year-long battle with Lung Cancer. Jack was born in Jacksonville on June 18, 1927.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Lora Seeman Kilver of Pisgah, and his sister, Gussie Kunzeman of Decatur. Jack began his career with Continental Grain. He was next employed as a broker for Illinois Grain Corporation from 1953-1959. He then became the manager of Pisgah CO-OP Grain Elevator from 1959-1980. He replaced his father Gus, who previously managed the elevator.

He was also a member of Post 279 of The American Legion and Post 100 of the AMVETS. He volunteered for the Jacksonville Area Food Center, picking up donations from local businesses.
