Mrs. Brantley was born in Emanuel County on October 30, 1933 and lived most of her life in Adrian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Brantley; her parents, Ernest and Maggie Bell Foskey Avery; sister, Ernestine Avery Wilson; and brother, La Fon Avery. She was a member of the Adrian High School Class of 1950, and was retired from J.P. Stevens, East Dublin. She was a member of Adrian United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 20 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Veal officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Adrian.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday.
