Laura V. Lawrence (Palmer)
Mother went to be with her risen savior on October 16, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Mom was born on the family farm “on the Peet Rd” in Chesaning , MI on June 2, 1927 to Plynn Alfred and Alvina Schmiege Palmer. She married Orson J. Lawrence on June 18, 1949 at Zion Lutheran church in Chesaning. Laura gave birth to 3 children, David, Greg, and Jill. Laura is survived by her sons David and Greg (Tina); 6 grandchildren, Brandon, Erica, Greg II, Daniel, Ashton, and Whitney; 7 great-grandchildren, Destiny, Mathew, Orson, Harley, Oakley, Alexis, and Mercedes. Laura was also survived by her loving sister Edna Schlotter and many nieces and nephews and her very special friend Sandy Geeting.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Orson, her daughter Jill, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, a brother and sister in law, and all their spouses.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1200 E. Genesee, Frankenmuth, MI. Rev. Jeff Luplow will officiate with burial in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Laura’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church or a Charity of Donor’s Choice.
