At about 1848 the family of Samuel Rochester an son In law Phillip Draper followed His cousin Henderson Draper ( Son to Thomas C an nephew to James ) south to Webster Parish La. because of a land Grant he acquired from serving in the Arkansas Mounted Gunman during the Indian Wars 1838 . Phillip an family bought lands just south of Dubberly off present day Central School road. After he an his wife death (1891-1894) the land was divided between Eliza an her sister Virginia Draper Boyet wife to J T Boyet a prominent planter of the area . Eliza Draper Buie sold her interest in this 160 acres to Virginia Boyet her younger sister in 1895 an a few years afterwards moved west with her oldest son Wm J Buie to Wood County Texas by 1900.
