Eliza Draper an family Phillip an Sara Rochester Draper came from Hempstead County Arkansas , Ozan to the Dubberly area at about 1847 following a land grant of her fathers cousin, Henderson Draper for his service in the Indian wars of 1838 in Arkansas. Ref: BLM (Land Records)Eliza's Grandfather Samuel Rochester an her family moved south from Hempsteed County Ark. about 1848 an can be found in the 1850 census Bienville Parish Western District. They settled close to eachother around Dubberly La. Eliza met George W Buie or G W Buie prior to 1863 yet i'm not sure how. From what I've found G W Buie was following many other settlers coming out of North Carolina at about that time so its possible that's how they met.. Eliza an George were married in the old town of Sparta then the Parish seat on March 8 1863.I have found no land records of the two prior to 1884 yet between the Drapers an Rochester famlies there was plenty of land to work so buying land wasnt necessary. In 1895 after G W Buies death of 1887,. She sold her interest of 160 acres to Virginia Draper Boyet her younger sister. These lands were conveyed to her from her fathers death of 1891 an mothers probate of 1894 an was located off present day Central School Road.
