Norma Dell Barclay, age 86, of Iola, Kansas, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Norma was the second of two children born to Adam and Emma (Holden) Utermoehlen. She was born on May 4, 1931 in Pittsburg, Kansas. Norma attended high school in Cherokee, Kansas, and attended Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg, Kansas. On August 25, 1957 she married Robert W. Barclay at the First Christian Church in Pittsburg, this union was blessed with one son, In 1959 they moved to Iola when Robert began his career at the Iola Junior College. Norma touched numerous lives through her volunteer work with the Hospital Auxiliary. Norma was a member of the First Christian Church, Iola and the Sunflower Quilt Guild. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafting, gospel music, but her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ralph Utermoehlen.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of the home; son and his wife, of Iola, Kansas; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
