Dick married Arlys Stewart on Friday, September 5, 1952 in Grand Rapids, MN. He worked in the mines for many years and as a welder/operator at Casper Construction for 28 years until his retirement. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a very kind and loving man. He had a passion for playing guitar, fishing for that big one and growing tomatoes. He always loved and took very good care of his wife up until two weeks before his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Delores Kastonek in 1997; sister-in-law, Margaret Anderson.
Dick is survived by his wife, Arlys; son, Richard (Jill) Anderson, Jr.; daughter, Loretta “Lori” (Jack) Pierce; brother, Gene; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Interment in Hazelwood Cemetery, Blackberry, MN.
