C. Jane Matthews, 89, formerly of Lemoyne, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg. A daughter of the late Elizabeth (Reese) and Robert E. Matthews, she was born in Harrisburg on September 28, 1928.

She was a 1946 graduate of John Harris High School and a retired dental assistant. She was a life member of Stevens Memorial Methodist Church, Harrisburg and a current member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lemoyne. She was a 60-year member of the Harrisburg Hospital Auxiliary, Pinnacle Health Systems. She delivered food for Meals on Wheels and volunteered at Mission Central. She was a member of the former Lemoyne Civic Club, a charter and life member of Peace Church, a member of Cumberland County Historical Society, and a former member of Harrisburg Dental Assistants Society.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Josephine Baum and Doris Cooper, a brother, Robert Matthews. She is survived by a sister-in-law, 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Musselman Funeral Home, followed by graveside at Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Musselman Funeral Home Is Honored To Serve The Matthew Family.
