Richard Guy "Rick" Kremer, age 66 of Monroe passed away, Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 12, 1951, the son of Albert and Mary (LoBuono) Kremer and was a 1969 graduate of Stephen T. Badin High School. Mr. Kremer was a 1973 graduate of the University of Dayton with a BA in Accounting. Rick retired from Clark, Schafer, Hackett and Co. in 2012 after 30 years. He was in ROTC in college and was discharged in 1987. On July 6, 1974, in Sacred Heart Church, Rick married Verna Owens. Mr. Kremer loved doing community service. He was involved with Monroe Planning Commission from 1998-2003, Monroe City Council from 1999-2003, the Tax Review Board, and was past president of the Lion's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Verna; his son, Tony; siblings, Mike (Pam) Kremer, Jim (Janice) Kremer, Dorothy (Bob) Stucker, Joe (Kathy) Kremer and Betty (Myles) Berling. He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield, with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
