Clifton Coleman, Jr., age 66, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He was born on November 23, 1950 in Hot Springs, the son of Clifton Coleman, Sr. and Corine King Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Clifton was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Henderson State University and his Doctorate Law Degree from Arizona State University. He worked for many years for the Arkansas Secretary of State office and the Hot Springs School District in special education. He also was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. Clifton was a board member of the Hot Springs Sister City Program and was a basketball coach at the Hot Springs YMCA for many years.

He is survived by his wife, his son and daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters-in-law, one sister, nephews, one niece, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle.

Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening, at the church.
