1936 ~ 2017
Lila Maynard Palmer Frandsen died peacefully October 5, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born April 4, 1936 in Oakley, ID to George and Golda Maynard. She grew up in Riverton, UT, where she attended school and made life-long friends. Lila married Val Palmer Aug 28, 1952 (later divorced). They were blessed with eight children to whom she was totally devoted. She married Clark Frandsen on Sept. 24, 1977.
Together they blended 14 children and a total posterity of over 200. Lila and Clark were both faithful members of the LDS church and served a mission together in the Dallas, TX temple. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Her passions were her family, word-search puzzles and music. She really enjoyed playing in and conducting the West Jordan Sr. Harmonica Band. She loved life, had an infectious smile and brightened every room she entered and every heart she touched.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Lawrence. She is survived by brothers Eugene and Myrlin (Lynda) Maynard, Palmer Children; Valerie (Duane Bills), Wayne (Christy), Debra, Jeff (Leasa), Karen (Al Witkamp), Danny (Kalene), Mont (Shauna), Carla (Steve Arnold). Frandsen Children; Cleon (Mary), RoLana (Daniel Marshall), Marvin, VaNae (David Barlow), Shaun (Nadine), Troy (Jennifer).
Services will be held Sat., Oct. 14, 2017, 12:00 PM at the LDS chapel, 12830 S. 2700 W, Riverton. Viewings at the church Fri. evening 6:00-8:00 PM and Sat. 10:30-11:30 AM. Thanks to everyone at Coventry Cove for your kindness and friendship. Deepest appreciation to Horizon Hospice and Spring Creek Healthcare for the tender care extended in her final days.
