Hawkins, Eric
Services for Eric Lee Hawkins, 16, were held July 22 at Love
Cantrell Chapel in Smithville. Bro. Larry Thomas officiated.
Burial was in Jefferson Cemetery.
Mr. Hawkins was dead on arrival at Baptist DeKalb Hospital July 20 following an auto accident.
A native of Putnam County, he was the son of Don and Treba Hawkins of Smithville.
He was a junior at DeKalb County High School and an employee of Smithville Food
Center. He was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist
Church.
Other survivors include a brother, Trent Hawkins of Smithville; several uncles and
aunts; maternal grandparents,

Smithville and paternal grandparents,
Shelton Hawkins
Clara Hawkinse
both of Smithville.
Pallbearers were Willis Crouch, David Burch, Carl Wayne Knowles, Melvin
Childress, Merle Cope and Dustin Davis.

was in charge of arrangements.
