Edgar E. Cooper, MSGT, USAF (Ret.), was promoted to glory on October 8, 2017.
Edgar was born to Flora Smith Cooper and Earnest Lamar Cooper on June 29 1933.
Edgar is survived by his wife of 47 years, Fidelina Sedillo Cooper and his children, Tim Cooper and his wife, Letha, Martin Alderete and his wife, Donna, Theresa Alderete Persohn and her husband, MAJ, USAF (Ret.) Bryan, Gladys Marie Alderete Cancel and her husband, MSGT, USAF (Ret.) Louis Cancel and Lisa Cooper Wallace, brothers, John Cooper and his wife, Naomi, Carl Cooper and his wife, Martha, Harry Cooper and his wife, Carolyn and Willie Cooper and brother-in-law, Pat Sedillo and his wife, Anna. Also surviving are grandchildren, Brandy Holland, Brianna Murry and her husband, Chad, Nicolette Cooper, Corey Persohn Jedediah Alderete and his wife Danessa, Jacob Alderete and his wife, Lyndsi, Jared Alderete and his wife, Holly, Janessa Alderete, SSGT, USAF Emilio Cancel and his wife, Megan, and A1C USAF Alycia Cancel, along with the joy of many great-grandchildren.
Edgar Cooper served his country 20 years, he then continued service to our country, retiring from Civil Service. His first priority was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, attending New Life Fellowship in Belén. Edgar departs this world having loved his Lord, his wife, his children and their families and his beloved United States of America with all his heart.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Noblin Funeral Service Belén Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception at 12:00 p.m. at New Life Fellowship. Burial will be at Santa Fé National Cemetery.
