Alice went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in Conroe.

Alice was born February 1, 1943, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Clifford William Trice and Virginia Mae Stowe Trice. The Trice family moved to Longview, Texas in 1951. Even though Alice lived in several places throughout her life, she always considered Longview as her home. In 1961, she graduated from Longview High School and in that same year she married the love of her life, Paul Lewis McBride, Sr. Alice worked for Garland Independent School District, Dal-Long Oil Company, and Texas Association of Developing Colleges. Throughout her life, Alice faced many challenges, but with each challenge she grew stronger in her faith and moved forward with a positive spirit knowing that through God all things are possible. She was a loving friend and family member who kept in constant contact with everyone, making sure all could celebrate each other’s blessings and pray for those in need. She will be truly missed.

Preceding Alice in death were her husband, Paul Lewis McBride, Sr.; daughters, Elizabeth Anne McBride and Kimberly Gay McBride; son, Paul Lewis McBride, Jr.; parents, Cliff W. and Virginia Trice; and brother, Cliff David Trice. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Tiffany Lynn Smith and husband, Greg; grandsons, Aidan and Austin Smith, all of Conroe, Texas; sister, Judy Trice Gregg and husband Gene, of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Kitty Trice of East Dataw Island, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Michele McBride Wakeman and husband, Robert, of Clark, Colorado; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special appreciation goes to Alice‘s lifelong friends Tina and John Crouch, Beverly and Dennis Easley, and Charlotte Obertheir who cared for her these last few months and brought her so much joy throughout her life.
