Mark August Payton, age 61, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Friday, October 6, 2017, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, in Cynthiana. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 26, 1956, to the late Walter and Ellen Mae Payton.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Daniel Payton. He is survived by: his fiancée, Janet Herr; two sons, Mark (Brenda) Payton and Nickolas (Sue Ann) Payton; a daughter, Amanda Payton; a brother, Marvin (Constance) Hubert Payton; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a special pet, Sassy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, in Williamstown, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be made to Ware Funeral Home towards funeral expenses.
