Mrs Leona Pearl Sanders, 29 died at Talihina, Ok, Mar 15, 1935. Funeral services were held at the Strode Funeral home in Stillwater at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, the Rev. Ernest Armstrong officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery here.
Leona Pearl Meeks was born in Stillwater March 9, 1906. She was married to Hiram Ray Drake October 21, 1923, at Chandler. Mr Drake died Jan 9, 1927, leaving the widow and three children, namely Ivan Wesley, Ray Jr., and Leola Fay.
In 1929 Mrs Drake was married to Ernest Sanders at Sapulpa. His death occurred in May 1931. The three children survive their mother.
Mrs Sanders leaves also her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. G. Wesley Meeks of Stillwater; one brother, Charles Meeks, living in Nebraska, and one sister, Valdona, at home.
Mrs Sanders had been a member of the Christain church in Stillwater since 1914.
