Enid, Okla. - Charles E. "Chuck" Meeks, 76, formerly of Hutchinson, died June 25, 1984, at Bass Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born March 14, 1908 at Perkins, Okla., he married Melba V. Brown Dec. 4, 1937 in Hutchinson. She died Aug. 23, 1981.
He was a Hutchinson resident from 1934 to 1958, at which time he moved to Enid. He was a retired supervisor of Products Pipeline Division of Champlin Oil Co., Enid.
He was a member of Forrest Park United Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge both of Hutchinson.
Survivors: Ellis M Meeks, 504 East 14th; two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel; the Rev. Gordon Jewett. Burial at Fairlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliotts. Memorials to the Church.
