"Kenneth Pierce Jr., 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pierce, 12 Elizabeth St., died Friday night at the Rome State School, Rome, where he had been since July. He was born in Amsterdam Aug. 8, 1956, a son of Kenneth and Edna Walsh Pierce, and besides his parents, is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Robert Bassett, Fort Johnson, and Mrs. Allen DeRondo, Amsterdam; two brothers, Thomas and Francies Pierce, Amsterdam; his paternal grandfather, Isaiah Pierce, Albany, and aunts, uncles and cousins. The body was brought to Amsterdam where the funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Boice funeral home, the Rev. Roland S. Fredericks officiating. Interment will be at Sloansville."
