Opal M. Martin, 87, passed away in her sleep at home on 7-4-2022. She was born on 12-15-1934, in Konawa, OK.
Opal was raised in Francis, OK, where she attended and graduated from Francis School. She lived the majority of her adult life in Oklahoma City, OK, until January 2021, when she moved in with her son, who lovingly cared for her until her passing. Opal enjoyed spending time with her friends, shopping, dancing and taking short trips. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent many hours cheering them on at their different sporting events.
Opal is survived by her children, Diana and Jim Morrison and Danny Martin; her grandchildren Jaclyn and Shelly Williams, Patrick and Cece Morrison, Andy Martin, Garrett Martin, and Jaime and Brian Wimer. Her great grandchildren are Hailey and Skylar Keating, Alyssa Hamman, Addyson Hamman and fiancé Kyle Hunter, Jeremiah Tarpley, and Aaron Morrison. Also surviving are her sister Wanda Byers and brother Lendel and Lee Wilson.
Funeral services will be Friday, 7-8-2022, at John Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK 73160. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, 500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
