"Rufina Petteys, widow of the late Charles Petteys, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Allen, Aug. 19, 1930, after a long illness, aged nearly 80 years. She was born Aug. 30, 1850, the daughter of Daniel and Nancy Dwelly and had always resided in this vicinity. While in good health she was a cheerful person and ever ready to aid others in distress or need. She leaves besides Mrs. Allen a grandson, Lee Allen, two nieces and a nephew and several cousins. The funeral was held from the Baptist church of which she was a member, Thursday, Rev. J. L. Duesler preaching. Interment in the Valley cemetery."
