Jeff Ward, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010.
He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and retired from DuPont with 33 years of service. He was a member and deacon of Hill Crest Baptist Church and he and his wife moved to Rising Fawn, Ga., three years ago.
Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his parents, "Tol" and Maggie Ward.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Martha Leslie Ward; five sons and wives, Don (Barbara) Ward, Hixson, Bobby (Lorelei) Ward, Tiftonia, George (Vicki) Ward, Crandall, Ga., Garry (Pam) Ward, McDonald, Tenn., and Allan (Janis) Ward, Rising Fawn; uncle and aunt, Tom (Lucy) Shaver, East Ridge; eight grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. EDT Tuesday, May 4, 2010, in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens in Trenton, Ga.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. today and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.
