KERNER, Craig Stephen, was seen running through the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on November 24, 1961. Craig was one of the first students to receive a high school diploma from the Richmond Cerebral Palsy Center in 1979 and then continued studies at J. Sargent Reynolds Community College. He was lovingly cared for by his mother, Theresa C. Kerner, until her death in 2003, when he then took up residence at The Virginia Home. Craig enjoyed his time at The Virginia Home, and in particular, took great joy in "instructing" others as to what they should be doing, leading people to believe that he had an honorary degree in Nursing Home Management.
