Armond Wheeler, Jr. 76 of Bainbridge passed away on September 29, 2017 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City. He was born on December 23, 1940 in Unadilla, NY a son of the late Armond Wheeler Sr.. and Buelah Neff . He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Jackson in which they first met and fell in love August 27,1955 in Oxford and were then married September 5,1958.

A very loving father, he is survived by his children, Peggy, Debby,Armond III,Kandy,Arnold,Armanda,Adrianne, Mark,Matt and John Wheeler. His sisters, Mary Lou Squires Anna Flewelen and Bonnie Thomas; and his grandchildren, Forrest, Paulena, Felica, Armond, Jessica, Glenn, Jennifer, Abby, Katie, Remington, Dylan, Braden, Holden, Logan, Sarah, Shania, Connor, Kyle, Devon, Dakota, Brittany, Joseph, Benny, Matthew, Gracie, and Jennaya ; his great grandchildren, John, Jimmy, Abby, Hudson and Zoey. He was predeceased by his daughter, Shelly, and son David Wheeler and also his grandchildren; Edward, Tony and Sharon.

Armond enjoyed the outdoors, especially logging. He was a NASCAR fan. He liked working on antique tractors and cars in his spare time. He was oredeeply devoted to his family.

In his early years he raced race cars at Perry Raceway in Rochester. Coming from a long line of woodsmen Sonny along with his father and brothers worked in many sawmill together from New York, New Jersey and also Maryland. Besides that he had also shearing sheep, milking cows, driving truck and moving houses.When he was younger he use to enjoy hunting; not so much for the sport of the hunt. It was for the sport of feeding his family.With all the hats he wore there was one that he would not. That one he gave to his wife. Our father did not do snakes. Not for love nor money. That was Ma's job.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St, Oxford, NY with Rev. Mickaela St. Marie officiating. Burial will be in South Plymouth Cemetery.
