She married Ola Hogan Hanson on January 30, 1889 in Goshen, Bingham County, Idaho. They became parents to seven children: Leo Vernon, Sylvia, Oliver Eugene, Irven Olen, Eva Elaine, Wallace H, and Howard Donald.
Ola died in 1908. Caroline died 28 years later of broncho pneumonia after a gallbladder operation.
