Burial at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Ball passed away on September 30, 2017 at NHC-Maury Transitional Care Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Mary was born on April 21, 1920 in Saundersville, Tennessee.
She was the daughter of Albert Campbell Scott and Bessie (Rogers) Scott.
She was united in marriage to Burrel E. Ball on August 30, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee. He preceded her in death in February 1985.
Mary worked for the IRS and then the Corps of Engineers until fully retiring in 1985.
She was a charter member of Dalewood Methodist Church and later a member of Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Following her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and cherished her family.
Her greatest legacy was her love of Christ and service to the church.
She is survived by her children and spouses: Alan (Judy) Ball, Charles (Jody) Ball, Richard(Kris) Ball; 7 loving grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Campbell Scott III and a sister Bess Bohnenstiel.
Active pallbearers include Jon Ball, David Ball, Scott Ball, Jerry Graves, Danny Kendrick, Stephen Hughes and Adam Reig.
