Mr. Schneider was born July 5, 1960, in Austin. He graduated from high school in Rochester and then attended Rochester Vo-Tech. On May 27, 1983, he married Anne Solberg in Mason City. He was employed as a computer systems administrator by Holcim in Mason City. A member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City, he enjoyed being outdoors, bow hunting, scuba diving, biking, and spending time with his family, especially his children. Survivors include his wife; two children, Sarah and Matthew Schneider; his parents, Conrad and Bernice (Boldt) Schneider of Palisade, Minn.; two brothers, Jim (Melanie) of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Larry (Jenny) of Pella, Iowa; and a sister, Carla (Jim) Groebner of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
A funeral Mass was held March 12 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Interment was in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of North Iowa or Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City.
