Kenneth W. Burtner, 86, of New Castle, passed away the evening of December 17, 2016 at Jameson Care Center. Born on March 17, 1930 in Worthington, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Estelle Burtner. Surviving is his beloved wife of 61 years, the former Yvette Fallinger, whom he married on February 5, 1955.

Kenneth retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. He also retired from Heckett Engineering, a division of U.S. Steel.

In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his children, Theresa Sandoval and husband Eloy of New Mexico, Alan Burtner of New Castle, Kenneth Burtner Jr. of Portersville, PA, and Christine Brandstetter and husband Darren of Portersville, PA; twin sister, Georganna Craig of North Carolina; and several grandchildren.
