S. G. Conn died at his home northwest of Lyons on Friday evening, Aug. 22, 1902, and was buried in the Lyons cemetery. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. E . Hoeman. He was born in Indiana in 1833, and was thus 69 years of age at the time of his death. His wife preceded him about four years ago. Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Conn, all of whom are living except James, who died about two years ago. Those living are Mrs. Bell Pursley, Robert, Abe, Jeff, Mrs. Sadie Bartlett, Mrs. Mollie Sampson, George, Mrs. Jennie Hultquist, Moffat, Fred and Charlie. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community.

Obituary.
DIED—Simeon G. Conn, at the home of his son, Robert, 7 1/2 miles northeast of Bancroft, Aug. 22, 1902, of cancer of the stomach, aged 72 years.
He was born in Ripley Co., lnd.; removed with his parents to lowa in 1846 and came to Neb. in 1893. He was married in 1859 to Eliza J. Draper. Twelve children were born to them, eleven of whom are living, his wife and one son, James, having preceded him. The living are: Mrs. Belle Pursley, Robert, Thomas J., Abraham, George, Moffet, Fred, Charles, Mrs. Sadie Bartlett, Mrs. Mary Sampson and Mrs. Jennie Hultquist.
Services were held in the Methodist church Sunday, Aug. 24. Rev. Hosman officiating, and the remains interred in the Lyons cemetery.
NOTE: From the differing descriptions in the two obits, it is difficult to precisely pin down the location of his death.
