Her parents were Simeon George Conn and Eliza Jane (Draper) Conn.

A message came from Denver, Colo., announcing the death of Mrs. Oscar Hultquist, yesterday morning. She went there last week in hopes of benefitting her health. Her physician gave little hopes of her recovery, as the disease (tuberculosis) had gone too far. The body will be brought here for burial. She is mourned by the husband and three little motherless children.

The funeral service and burial for Mrs. Jenima Etta Hultquist, was held Monday afternoon, Rev. E.E. Hosman officiating. Mrs. Hultquist's maiden name was Conn, a sister of M. E. Conn. She was born in Madison County, Iowa, in 1876, married to Oscar Hultquist at West Point, in 1876, and was the mother of six children, three of whom with her husband, survive her. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a devoted Christian, having united with the M.E. church in 1899, and continuing an earnest member until she was called to her eternal home.

Miss Jennie Conn was married to Oscar Hultquist nine years ago. To them six children were born, three of whom, and the husband survive her. Mrs. Hultquist had been afflicted for some time with consumption. Recently they decided to try the Colorado climate and left here on the 7th of the month. She died there on the 16th and was brought home for burial, arriving in this city Saturday afternoon. The remains lay here until Monday when they were accompanied to Lyons. Services were held in the Methodist church in Lyons by Rev. E.E. Hosman, and the remains buried in the Lyons Cemetery by the side of her dead children. A number of beautiful floral emblems were presented by sympathizing friends; her sister, Mrs. Sadie Hartnett, went with them to Denver and return.
