Mrs. Grace Louise Eckel, 84, of Germantown, formerly of Silver Spring, passed away Friday, March 9, 2007, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville.
She was born in Frederick on September 6, 1922, a daughter of the late Mary C. and John H. Klipp.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ora Dale Eckel; loving mother of Douglas Dale Eckel and wife Helen of Silver Spring, Gregory Wayne Eckel and wife Susan of Silver Spring, Linda Louise DeSanto and husband Stephen of Rockville and Susan Grace Wilson and husband Harold of Germantown; loving sister of Irene Palmer, Catherine Burns, Helen Myers and Albert Klipp, all of Frederick; and devoted grandmother of Jeffrey, Robert, Beverly, Rebecca and Holly. She was also survived by three great grandchildren, Ryan, Drew and Olivia.
A graveside service will be offered at Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville, MD 20853, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13. Everyone attending should meet at 1:15 p.m. at the front entrance.
