"Frederick P. Wick of Menomonee Falls, son of Michael and Anna Mary (Ruland) Wick, both natives of Germany, was born in the town of Menomonee Jun 11, 1875. His grandfather came to this county with his family in 1847, Michael Wick being then a boy of fourteen. They settled on a farm in the town of Menomonee, remaining there until the death of the grandfather, when Michael took the place operated it for some time, but later sold it and bought the farm where the subject of this review now resides. Frederick remained at home assisting in the work of his father's farm until he was twenty-one years of age, when he began his independent life in Milwaukee, where he worked as a teamster for four years. The father, wishing to retire from the active work of the farm, purchased a home in the near-by village of Fussville, and resigned the care of the farm to his son, who returned home to take charge of it. The latter, reared on the farm had only the educational advantages afforded by the schools in the vicinity. Several years of attendance at the district schools was supplemented by attendance at the parochial school of the Catholic church with which the family is connected. After returning to the farm Mr. Wick was married on June 17, 1902 to Anna Mary Schmitz, daughter of Frederick and Mary (Schneider) Schmitz, both of German antecedents but natives of the Badger state, now residing in the town of Menomonee. To Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Wick have been born three children, Mamie, Frederick and Raymund. Maimie was born May, 1903, Frederick, March 7, 1905 and Raymond Jan. 22, 1907."
