OBITUARY: Menomnee Falls News Feb. 16, 1933 “Frederich Schmitz, a resident of this locality for almost 83 years died at 11 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Schmitz retired at 7:30 p.. complaining of a pain near his heart and informed his son, Peter, with whom he resided, that he was goin gto die. A dctor was called but he died about an hour llater. He had been in the best of health andws active about the farm although he had retired some years ago. Mr. Schmitz was the son of Godfried and Katherine Schmitz, nee Kertzman, who resided on the same farm. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, from the residence to St. Anthony Catholic church, Fussville with burial in the church cemetery. Deceased is survived by 5 sons, Godfried, Paul, Winend, Mathew and Peter; 3 daughters Mrs. Annie Wick, Mrs. Katie Lauer andMrs. Clara Zirkelbach; 3 brothers, 1 sister, 30 grand and 5 great grandchildren. Mrs. Schmitz, nee Maira Schneider preceded him in death 5 months ago.”
