Funeral services for Deborah “Debbie” Carter Allen will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Grace Pointe Church, 1905 Auburn Avenue, Monroe, LA. Rev. Purvis Rodrigues and Rev. John Wesley Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop, LA.
Debbie was born on February 13, 1952 in Bastrop, LA and passed away after a lengthy illness on September 22, 2017 at home in Monroe, LA. She was a former member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and a retired registered nurse. She is preceded in death by her father Cecil E. Carter; daughter, Sandra Lynette Allen and brother, David Carter.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Barry Lawton Allen; sons, Chris Allen and wife Melissa, Jeremy Allen and wife Liz, Daniel Allen and wife Lora; grandsons, Colby Allen and wife Sarah Beth, Austin Allen, Brett Allen, and Cade Allen; granddaughters, Alyssa Allen, Abby Allen, and Kennedi Carpenter; mother, Odessa Britton Carter Dolan and husband Robert.
Pallbearers will be Colby Allen, Austin Allen, Brett Allen, Cade Allen and Joshua Thornhill.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of service (2:00 P.M.), Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Grace Pointe Church, Monroe, LA.
