Leroy Albritton
Leroy "Shorty" Albritton, 92, a resident of Troy, died Friday at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tn.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home with Jimmy Smith to officiate. Burial to follow in the Terrace Hill Cemetery in Troy.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-7 on Monday evening.
Pallbearers will be Philip Albritton, David Albritton, Daniel Hill, Matthew Hill, Gene Clark and Jeff Shults.
Mr. Albritton was born June 2, 1925, in Jonesboro, AR. son of the late Herman and Cora Ann (Peevyhouse) Albritton. He married Lillie Irene (Andrews) Albritton on July 18, 1951. She preceded him in death on January 5, 2006.
He was a long time employee of the former Beck and Rippy Tractor in Union City and farmed on the Wolverine Road in Troy. He and Lille were also long time members of the Troy Church of Christ , where he served as an elder for many years.
He is survived by his son, Larry Wayne Albritton and his wife, Cindy, of Evansville, IN,; his daughter, Janet Faye Albritton Hill and her husband, Steve, of Cordova, Tn.
He leaves behind six grandchildren: Philip Albritton of Franklin, TN; Daniel Hill of Springfield, TN; David Albritton of Evansville, IN; as well as six great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his six siblings; Robbie Glisson, Grady Albritton, Dorothy Woody, Audrey Emery, Ann Ashley and Wilma Milligan.
