Fred H. Achenreiner, 81, formerly of 206 Edwards St., Wausau, died Sat. morning, Sept. 15, 1990, at a local nursing home. He was born June 1,-1909, in Marathon County, the son of the late Siegfried Achenreiner and Mary (Roch) Achenreiner. He married Johanna Pauls on March 25, 1936, in Wausau. She died Feb. 7, 1988. Mr. Achenreiner was employed at Marathon Electric for many years, retiring in 1971. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, George Schreirer Council 1069, Wausau, the Holy Name Society at Holy Name Catholic Church and for many years was involved in church dartball league play. - Survivors include three daughters, Nancy (Thomas) Kryshak. Wausau, Joanne (John C.) Schlaefer, Wausau and Patricia (Thomas) Sheldon, Westboro, Mass.; ten grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren; one brother, Andrew Achenreiner, Wausau; two sisters, Sophie (John Jr.) Steif, Schofield and Katherine Ludka, Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by three sisters. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 1990, at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Ambrose Blenker will officiate and entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, Wausau. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Peterson Funeral Home, Wausau, and again from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
