Arlene L. Green, of Savage Rd., Sardinia, died Monday, September 18, 2017 in the Wyoming County Nursing Facility, Warsaw, at the age of 88.
She was born February 1, 1929 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late William H. and Minnie H. (nee Spurck) Schuster. She worked for 34 years in banking and retired as a Bank Officer with Marine Midland Bank in East Aurora.
She was an avid golfer and former member of the Ischua Valley Country Club, she also enjoyed cooking, baking, country music, dancing, flowers and gardening. Her favorite things were holiday dinners with her family and her summer place at Silver Lake.
Her husband, Clinton Green whom she married April 22, 1979 in Canada, died July 23, 1996.
She is survived by her sons, James (Bonnie) Smoot of Castile, Bradd (Patty) Smoot of Hamburg; four granddaughters, Stacey (John) Holderer, Jaimie (Daniel) Towner, Shelli (Brad Shaver) Green, Shannan (Jeremy Rui) Smoot; two step-grandchildren, Laura (A.G.) Kruger, Jake Vernon; four great-granddaughters, Alexandria, Abigail, Kendall, Annabelle; two step-great-grandchildren, Geo, Marina and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Dona Jean Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Doris Langendorfer and brother, William Schuster.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at W.S. Davis Funeral Home Inc., 358 West Main St., Arcade, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Sardinia Cemetery.
